To not take DD to an activity she’ll enjoy because I want a lie in?

That title sounds so much more provocative than I want the thread to be, so here’s the situation.

DD is nearly 2. I work 3 days a week, we attend groups on the other two days that are in the morning and on Sundays she goes swimming.

Have seen an activity on Saturday mornings she’ll enjoy. But the thing is, I know her dad won’t take her - he isn’t a terrible parent or anything but he will faff around and dick about so much that my lie in will go. So it’s easier for me to take her. But then it means I’m up with the larks every single day

YABU - suck it up, DD will enjoy it and that’s what’s important.
YANBU - sleep.

If its something you think shed prefer maybe swap it, but otherwise go for the lie in. It's baffling why he can't take her though, is he just lazy?

I was ready to think you might be a bit unreasonable, then I saw she is 2. Have your lie in. There will be time for rushing round getting them to clubs when she is older!

Absolutely have a lie in. In fact I would cancel some of the other activities as well and have two or three lie ins or lazy mornings. As others have said, she's two.

My goodness I thought I was going to read your kid was much older. At 2 it's really not that serious. I actually never had my kid in anything at that age, it would've been too much for me.
