To think I will lose weight now DH is no longer WFH?

For the first time since the start of the pandemic, DH will be working back in the office from tomorrow. Hurrah!

It has just dawned on me that I’ll be able to go back to my grazing ways… no longer will we have to have a ‘proper’ lunch, I can simply have beans on toast… overnight oats and an apple… whatever I want!

I feel like ordering a supermarket delivery for tomorrow morning!

Has your husband been cooking and serving you large meals every lunchtime he’s wfh?
I can see how it might be difficult to resist overindulging if it’s on offer and smelling delicious, although that could be offset by a very light evening meal?

Is he overweight? Perhaps going back to the office will benefit him too!

This, are you going to keep WFH yourself while he's back at the office? What did you do before he came home?

Old thread. Probably best not to do a second deliberately obtuse and obviously mean pile on again really - quite distasteful to read and says more about the writer than the op.

Old thread. Well spotted, was half hoping I’d check the date and see it was posted in 1950. 😂

Its pretty depressing when wives think they have to mould their lives around their husband’s needs, even feeling they “have” to follow their dh’s eating habits.. and feeling delighted when he’s away from home because they can finally please themselves.

Posted too soon, so it stands to reason that if OP and her husband were together at lunchtimes she'd be more inclined to eat something more substantial than if she were just pottering about on her own.

It really doesn’t stand to reason at all. My husband and I are often at home at lunchtime since the pandemic, maybe three times a week since 2020 and I could count on one hand the number of times we have had the same lunch or even eaten at the same time. We nearly always eat dinner together and even then we may have different things or different quantities of the same thing. Talk about looking for excuses for weight gain!

I get the eating different lunches and breakfasts (but my 80+ year old parents don't!) However, I don't understand the different dinners. For starters doesn't that mean more food waste, more energy consumption and eating separately?

I love eating with my family and we all eat the same (bar gluten free for one member).

OP I do get it though, if I was smelling someone cooking a lovely fry-up I may cave too!!

How did your weight loss go op?!

Hello! Just over 4kg down since September, and not just that but the grocery bills have gone down a little too (although the savings soon wiped out by general price rises!)
