Will this Actimel kill me?

This afternoon i drank a medium sized bottle of actimel. It didnt taste right. And the texture was wrong. Checked the lid, and its use by date was early August.

How big is the potential for this to cause a night of stomach issues? I currently feel absolutely fine.

Maybe drink 5 yakult to counteract it?

@dilligaf78 so far the ferrari isnt revving its engine. Fingers crossed it stays rumble free.

@Thatswhyimacat i didnt notice the smell initially. Just removed lid and downed it. It definitely didnt taste right, was slightly fizzy and the texture was hints of lumpy slime.

The "good" bacteria (lactobacilli and the like) in yogurt drinks can't mutate into bad ones, that's not a thing! You'll be fine. The only time things like this are not OK to drink if they're time-expired is if they've grown mould.

You'll be fine. I regularly drink these way out of date.

My kids thought you weren't part of our family if you hadn't drunk out of date actimel, my middle son saw it as a challenge and drunk it two weeks out of date, said it was fizzy but survived!

if you survive maybe we could experiment further at a later date for science purposes

I think i need all the emergency services. Especially police. Because Actimel of August was supplied by FIL. Which is attempted murder? Or poisoning? Or somensort of crime surely?

I once gulped down milk that had gone sour, I had sinsititus at the time so couldn't smell or taste much.

It wasn't till I "chewed" something did I realise and checked the date.
