To ask what is the pettiest thing you’ve done?

My petty crown that I wear with pride is when confronted (or rear fronted?) by a car driving up my arse, I slow down and if they don’t back off I continue to drive as slow as legally possible just to make a point.

Even if you haven’t acted on it, what’s the pettiest thing you’ve considered doing?

Many of these aren't "petty", they're deeply unpleasant and potentially life ruining.

Notanotherwindow · 04/09/2022 16:20

@giveovernate Why are you proud of being such a spiteful person? Literally nobody thinks you're funny or clever. Its just childish nasty behaviour that you should have grown out of at about 15. It's pathetic really.

Grapewrath · 04/09/2022 16:21

Years ago I used to look after DDs friend let’s call her Julie on a very regular basis and she was always invited to DDs and my other children parties etc.
Julie had a special day out for her bday and was allowed to invite 2 friends. Julie invited two friends.. one was the mean child of an equally horrible bitchy Mum. I wouldn’t have cared but Julie and Julie’s mum told DD she would be invited but obviously left her out when push came to shove. DD was really sad and confused as she’d been really looking forward to sharing Julie’s day and the activity. I felt awful for her so we arranged a nice day out of our own.
Anyway.. about an hour before said treat bitchy mum called me to say she’s lost the invite (before social media invites) and didn’t have the number of Julie’s Mum so couldn’t remember her address for drop off. She asked me if I knew the address or had Julie’s Mum’s number. I apologised and explained I had the address at home but sadly wasn’t there to get it (lies I knew it off by heart) and that I wouldn’t be able to get her the number off my phone as my battery was about to die (more lies) and I was out with DD
Mean girl missed the party and Julie’s mum wasted a lot of money. Shame.

Oh calm down love! Of all the posts on here, you're stalking mine.

As another poster said, that's really odd!

I presume you don't like making tea for others or helping others but one of those massively selfish people that takes all the time?

Move on now, you're becoming a pest.

mbosnz · 04/09/2022 16:42

My boss let slip that he hated cheese and pickle sandwiches. After that, if he was a prat, he'd get a cheese and pickle sandwich bought by me for his lunch. He eventually joined the dots. . .

DH was being a bit of a prat. I ironed his jeans with a lovely sharp crease down the front.

I puzzled some people are more bothered about the tea round than the psycho who made gay bondage sex cards for a bloke who was a bit of a dick meaning he was inundated with unwanted calls. THAT is much more bullying than using the last teabag or emptying some milk out.

Difference I think is that none of us actually believed that was true so skimmed right past it, whereas everybody's worked with that kind of overgrown school bully and their clique of likeminded twats, so can readily believe it's true.

ButterflyBitch · 04/09/2022 16:47

A million years ago at mine and my (now ex) boyfriends home. His friend came to visit and we were having a few drinks. This bloke was quite obnoxious and clicked his fingers at me and said ‘get me a drink.’ My bf was shocked to see me get up and go to the kitchen and come back with a drink.
when he’s finished it I asked if he enjoyed it. Yes he did. I said good because it was just cola, the rest of you it vodka went down the drain (about half a big bottle). Not sure if that’s petty or just desserts though 😁

giveovernate · 04/09/2022 16:48

Of course that's the reason @QueSyrahSyrah, I totally believe you GrinGrin

My ex used to like a drink in the evenings. If he pissed me off, I used to shake random cans before going to bed. Then lay there giggling when he'd open one and hear him swearing when it exploded over him 🤣
I also pissed in his running bath once 🤣

I do this to my partner too when he goes through phases of drinking too much. Makes me smile just now even thinking about the sound of a beer explosion 😂😂

Notanotherwindow · 04/09/2022 16:51

@giveovernate 🤣 Hit a nerve have we? Bit of bluster now you realise no one is laughing?

No I just think that bullies are scum and deserve to be called out for their disgusting behaviour. Especially when they appear to actually be PROUD of it. No wonder you're a small team, who'd want to work with any of you? 😂

And I don't drink tea.

JimJamJollyWolly · 04/09/2022 16:52

There are posts on here that show up the poster as a nasty bully. I don't waste my time talking to bullies. They aren't worth it (and they are usually stupid on top). Nah.... better things to do.

Not at all, as I said we found it funny. He was such a lazy arse and deserved it.

I'm honestly not the slightest bit concerned what any random on the internet thinks about it.

I was answering the OPs post.

Maybe you need sone help with your obvious issue?

The saying you reap what you sow comes to mind with that lazy arse.

Anyway, I'm away for a while now to eat dinner.

I'll respond to your next post later.

The small team thing is just so hilarious, not everyone works for BP you know....

BTW it was about 25 years ago, don't work there any more, two children, maternity leave, SAHM and I've moved on.... maybe you should from this post, which has obviously triggered you?

My ex of 7 years ghosted me... I bought all the domain names for his new business, less than £100 and money well spent IMO.

thefirstmrsrochester · 04/09/2022 17:25

Each time DH is a pompous arse I take the batteries out the remote control and put them back in the wrong way round. DH still thinks that the DC (now young adults) must have knocked it down and the batteries fallen out, and then been incorrectly put back in by DC. But he only ever comes to this realisation until after he has his ‘good grief, these batteries can’t be flat’ rant and tested them on his wee battery testing thing.

Notanotherwindow · 04/09/2022 17:27

I don't really feel the need to argue with you tbh although it is mildly entertaining but as a pp said, you can't argue with stupid.

No particular issue here, if everyone who disagrees with or dislikes you has to have issues then the NHS is going to sink faster than the Titanic.

Last question then I'll let you get on as I'm sure you have a job to do and people you need to be picking on.

If it were your son or daughter being treated like that in a workplace by a group of supposedly grown women for the obviously capital crime of not wanting to join in rounds, would you still consider your behaviour acceptable?

Or would you think 'wow what a bunch of immature arseholes?' I'm sure you can guess what everyone else is thinking.

Notanotherwindow · 04/09/2022 17:31

@byebyelove They're quick off the mark! 🤣

You need to quote or use the @ function...

My DS or DD were brought up to realise that it's give and take, if they don't want to lower themselves to make tea for others, then they can't take it. It's a simple rule, it makes them unselfish.

FYI, I was the only woman in the team, your misogynistic assumptions are completely and totally incorrect.

Opaljewel · 04/09/2022 17:37

QueSyrahSyrah · 04/09/2022 09:46

So because he preferred to make his own cup rather than be in the rounds the other 4 of you bullied him? Weird. Maybe he just liked his tea a particular way so easier to make it himself?

I was thinking the same. People are allowed to say no.

Beetlewings · 04/09/2022 17:44

I admit to getting a bit liberal with the kitchen surface spray when ex used to leave the tops off jars on the counter.
I may also have picked his abandoned dirty socks up and put them in his work trouser pockets...
