Mince pies ffs

Went to Morrisons to buy some bread this morning. There in the bread & cake section were flipping mince pies and Christmas cakes! Best before date of mince pies 10.10.22. It's August. August FFS. Best before date more than 2 months before Christmas.

And yes I bloody did buy some 🤣

I may have picked up some Ecclefechan cakes from Sainsbury's when I went shopping on Sunday...thank you for reminding me!

Morrisons puff pastry mince pies are top 5.

Strictly starting soonish, Ghosts season 4 next month, Bake Off imminent. It's Autumn. Bring on the pies!

I buy them in September but only if I can sneak them through self checkout. I would hate the staff in the local Sainsburys to judge my pre-emptive mince pieing.

What are those little biscuit/cakes that you get in Aldi/Lidl with the chocolate side, think they may be German origin. Delicious.

Lebkuchen? Like a gingerbread kind of thing - the best ones have jam in?
