I have had no sleep tonight

Toddler has been screaming all night. Sometimes it has stopped for forty minutes but I keep hearing phantom screams and then the real screams start as soon as I am dropping off.

I am now sat in the garden feeling rather hopeless.

I'm sorry for everyone suffering from little to no sleep and anxiety 😔. @TangoWhiskyAlphaTango I know that feeling of having crippling anxiety and unable to go to work then feeling even worse about letting people down. But you're a nurse suffering anxiety and on little sleep so it's probably dangerous to work a 13 hr shift feeling like that so you're being responsible. Take today and try to do nice comforting things for yourself if possible (easier said than done I know). I listen to relaxing music on YouTube, my latest favourite is rain and thunder sounds (nicer than it sounds I promise!) 💐

Can I ask if anyone has been able to access help for their anxiety? I tried CBT during lockdown and found it pretty useless. I'm on medication which keeps it at bay day to day but when something triggers it I struggle to control it

Hugs to you all. I suffer with insomnia on and off. If any of you are near me (Bristol) me and DD will gladly look after your kids for a bit!

Hugs to all
My dog decided to bark at a hedgehog in the garden at 2am and the cat got into our bedroom whilst I was shushing him. She stamped all over the bed miaowing and then began to shred something under the bed and I couldn’t get her out.
my 12 hour shift today will be fun

Cats are dickheads. I woke at about 3am to my cat sitting on my pillow licking my head.

I hear you. I’ve hardly slept at all.

I’m en route back from holiday, in a crappy hotel room in France. My children are 10 & 13, my husband 42. Each one of the fuckers has woken me multiple times, too late to even try to sleep now. They are all snoring.

I have another six hours’ driving to do
<spoons coffee directly into eyes>

😂 must try this one trick your optician doesn't want you to know about ☕️ 🥄 👁

I am very naughty when it comes to this, as the anxiety I have is usually triggered by some event that I cannot deal with emotionally then it spills out. The GP prescribed me Citalopram but because I felt better I didnt start them then bam I am back to being a mess again. You read on here about anxiety but when you have it you realise how utterly terrifying and debilitating it can be. I hate calling in sick for work but I literally cannot function let alone a 13 hour shift. Hoping tonight is better for all of us Flowers

How old? My eldest went through a spell of screaming at night, 18months to nearly 3. No obvious pain or reason why, he would scream if we were in the room or not. Sometimes could go on for hours.

At that stage we didn't co sleep as he just wouldn't sleep and would think it was playtime

Often we did a reset - nappy change or a drink

It got better after 3 and now at 4 it rarely happens
