What did it feel like for you???
I think I just felt it for the first time!

We had viewed a few houses, all of them were empty, yet all of them felt slightly uncomfortable, like I was a visitor nosing round someone else's house. Even sitting outside waiting for the estate agents felt conspicuous and not right. There were a couple DH wanted to offer on and although on paper they were ok, I couldn't bring myself to do it.
When I viewed the one we bought, I felt completely comfortable. I was texting DH from the car outside saying how nice the road was. When I walked up to the front door I felt like I was coming home, I could completely imagine parking on the drive and opening the front door. It felt like ours and not someone else's. I was 100% sure about putting an offer on and never doubted the decision.

"I can see myself living here".
Felt safe, calm, confortable.

We'd seen around 20 houses, had saved for 3 years. Dreaming of where we would like to live. Nothing was quite right but the house came on the market At 5pm we got a viewing at 6.30....we were the first ones in. Walked through the door and without speaking we both knew it was the one. My partner put it to the owners that we would pay asking, the owner could tell he was serious and took his number. I knew we had it, the next night his phone rang and I knew it was a go-er! This is in Scotland with offers over but they took it, we were in rented with everything in place but it was just the max we could afford. Moved in 6 weeks later couldn't believe it until we had the keys. Houses don't come up for sale here often. Our new neighbors hate us because we got the bigger house with a garage and a house in much better condition. House prices have sky rocketed and it's worth about 70k more than we paid within 3 years. It's home and we love it 😍

We weren’t actually ready to start looking yet and had planned to wait a couple of months to save some more, but I had an alert set up on rightmove so I could keep an eye on the type of properties that came up in our price range. I got an email about a house and showed it to my husband and my mum, saying “look, this is the type of house we’ll want when we start looking”

My mum basically told me not to be daft and to go and see it right away. It felt perfect as soon as I walked in but I think I felt silly for getting so attached to literally the first house we’d ever seen? DH is normally very rational and not very ‘woo’ but he immediately told me that house was meant for us and we would end up living there.

In the end there were 7 offers in the space of a week and I don’t think we were the highest or even in the best position but somehow we got it (I think they liked that we were a family?) and we moved in a couple of months ago.

Viewed current house x 3 was the first house we looked at, dismissed due to excitement of just starting to look.

2nd time thought front garden was too big.

3rd time cried looking out of bedroom window at view with DH telling me to shut up or we wouldn't be able to negotiate!! Live here now and love it! Front garden is too big but it's a very small compromise.

Just had a feeling on 3rd time it was to be ours.
