Childrens clothes for charity collection

Posting here for traffic sorry!

I live in a smallish area with no charity shops that would take on my DD's outgrown clothes, only adult clothing

Can anyone recommend a charity that can collect them from my doorstep ideally?

Mine all go in the Salvation Army charity bin in the supermarket car park

Supermarket charity bin?

Creamcheesedreams · 27/08/2022 18:29

"Pass it on".. Facebook groups?

Hotandbothereds · 27/08/2022 18:51

Could you offer them on FB market place? If you bag them up I bet someone could make good use of them.

Echoing Facebook Marketplace (or similar, Next Door?!), although I'd put an actual value on it (even if it's something nominal like £2 which you then donate online to charity) because in my experience that seems to stop all of the time wasters who just say they want it because it's free but then never show. I'd just stick it in a bag in rough sizes and then put up a listing. Or you could advertise at your child's nursery/school if they go to one.

If you want to make sure it gets used by people who really need it then you could contact your local women's shelter/refugee action/religious centre and see if they want it if it's in decent condition.

Do you local Freecycle groups? Bundle them into ages then advertise on there? Kids stuff always goes quickly on ours. I lost stuff on there as it saves me a trip to the charity shop as I list it for collection only.

I would list on Freecycle or olio.

Failing that, try a women's refuge
