To stick with “jeggings”

So... mn and the general internet seems to have decreed skinny jeans and jeggings are over. (real life I still spot them out and about on adult women.. not the young lassies tho)

anyway, I thought I’d try a pair of those “mom” jeans. I’m a wee fattie (5ft3 and size 18). And OMG. They were fucking awful. I looked awful in them. I can’t imagine that even if I was a size 8, I still would look awful in them. And they felt so heavy and uncomfortable.

I tend to live in dresses all year round, but sometimes do wear jeans. Aibu to just stick with my jeggings?

I’m 5’ 11” and look awful in wide-legged jeans. They make me look blocky.

Sticking with my skinny jeans. I don’t care that they’re not in fashion, though have loads of them in great condition and will keep wearing them.

Slim fit or straight leg jeans are a good compromise and much more comfortable than skinnies.

They will have to peel my skinny jeans off my cold dead body.

I was in Primark tofay and it was an explosion of neon colours, ugly flare jeans and butterfly clips.

I don't know why 90s fashion is back but I wish it would bugger off back to the 90s!

Yanbu! Skinnies forever. The new styles look shite and it's all proper emperor's new clothes imho! Skinnies are still everywhere 😌

I love skinny jeans. I have one pair of mom jeans but they just look like they used to be skinny jeans that went baggy round the knees, from sitting too long.

I've been wearing bootcut jeans for 15 years, they are finally ok now ! Yipee

@LotusBiscuits and @Salamamca yes! People think if you're tall (I'm slim too), you can pull off any style. Anything other than a skinny just means loads of material and loads of 'leg' in a bad way. I think I look like Hagrid in anything oversized....

I did have a pair of girlfriend jeans once, they were a nice fit ( I’m big thighs, bum and hips and relatively small waist so nothing really fits properly) but they went out as soon as I found them 🙄🙄

Skinny to me is super tight, you wouldn’t have a gap between the denim and your ankle.

I absolutely hate flared and bootcut.

Mom … ok. I don’t think from behind anyone looks good. Boyfriend are ok.

I wouldn’t wear jeggings because I personally don’t like thin material and it can be risky.

These are slim I think.

I have a friend who looks good whatever she wears.
I can make the same items look like I dressed in the dark.

I just wear what I like and that includes skinny jeans and leggings/jeggings. I’m short with big boobs and a fat arse. Fashion rarely suits me.

God I hope skinny jeans are still in fashion as I have loads!
I might try bootcut but I remember the hem getting wet as they were always too long. Nonetheless they were reasonably flattering.

Skinny jeans are so uncomfortable, mum jeans are unflattering. Straight or slim jeans seem the perfect compromise to me!

Oh and leggings are super comfy, versatile classics that should be a staple of any wardrobe.

I thought that we'd wised up to the whole agenda behind trying to sell us stuff, by declaring it fashion? Of course the young ones wear what they are told, they haven't got the self confidence to do what they want and don't yet know what they want. A good proportion of them put the reality starts and influencers on pedestals. Buy what enhancers your life.
