Inspired by the other thread.

I'm naturally a 32DD, and after 2 kids, weight loss, and in my 40s, they sag badly. Like a pair of hound ears. I don't want implants, just a lift. I'm tired of bras cutting into me.

I would need to save for it, but it wouldn't leave us destitute.

Any horror or success stories?

My breasts could absolutely do with a lift, their natural shape was pendulous by nature but after 2 dc and weight loss they are very, very sad looking. I’d not do it though, even if I could afford it. For me, the (big) risk of losing feeling in the nippels totally outweighs the benefits of them looking better :( That thought has kept me sane with them since I first looked into surgery 25ish years ago. I’m newly single after a 20 year relationship too. Can’t imagine having to show them to a new man. Still, pretty but sensationless breasts. Hmmm.

No need for bras cutting into you though, that should be totally avoidable.

Had mine done at 28. Now 40 and still a great decision. Had children 3yrs ago and they definitely looked better before that (they swelled to the size of my head during pregnancy, no exaggeration) so they've lost a bit of pertness, but I think the key is to have them post children, and don't go too big. Comedy size boobs look good on almost no one. I'm still really pleased with mine.

Mine are over the muscle, no loss of sensation, and the only issue I can report is one gives me a bit of bother by feeling a bit detached, but this is directly from being in a car accident and getting a hard whack to the chest.

Mine are also a saline composition or something like that, which means none of the problems with silicone and the like.

I think done well, they're great, and would recommend them. Do a lot of research on your surgeon first, as of course for every person like me, there are 5 with horror stories.

I'm the same and am currently saving to have one next year. I'll let you know how it goes! So sick of bras cutting into me too

Luredbyapomegranate · 27/08/2022 12:34

I think wanting a lift doesn’t carry the same risks as implants does it? Breasts with so sensation are not what you want, but as long as you can abbots that..

Luredbyapomegranate · 27/08/2022 12:35

AVOID that

Loopyloopy · 27/08/2022 12:48

I just did some googling - it looks like there is some risk of nipple numbness with a lift, but it's much lower risk than with implants or reduction. Something to ask the surgeon, I guess!

I know that a bra shouldn't cut in - but I've been looking for a comfy one for over 20 years!

Had this procedure 5 months ago. Very pleased. No loss of sensation. Scars are still visible but are fading/flattening and I'm rigid about using Cicaplast twice a day with a little massage. My GP recommended the surgeon.
I was sick with nerves on the day of the op and refused to look at the markings he'd done. But when I look at my "before" photos, can't believe the transformation.

Mynotsoperfectlittlefamily · 27/08/2022 13:26

First thing to try is getting the correct Bra size makes an insane amount of difference. Look up Boob or Bust it works miracles.

glassofgreen · 27/08/2022 13:30

A lift is probably less risky, and fewer potential side effects, than implants but I'd ask the medical professionals for advice.

SunscreenCentral · 27/08/2022 13:40

I would like to have a reduction and uplift. I've always had huge boobs and I've detested them all my life.

My financial commitments mean that it's a not a runner for me for the next couple of years and I'm 52 already so...

TildaRae · 27/08/2022 13:46

I could do with a lift. There has to be enough tissue to work with to have a lift without implants.

I’d say a lift is riskier than implants. with a lift there is a risk of nipple necrosis due to the uplift procedure.
