Is it both men and women that are prone to cheating fling into the limelight and inevitably the close contact, 1-1 time and their propensity to cheat just does it's thing?

Clearly it's not an actual curse so why don't they just say oh Adam Peaty is the latest cheater to join strictly ...

They now use it for any relationship that has run its course, even when the split was announced before Strictly. Am amazed they haven't used a to try and blame for Helen Skelton's ex leaving her. Sophie EB explained the pressure the show puts on your relationships, so faultlines become cracks. Only females where there was proper overlap were pro Flavia and Georgia. Maybe Spangles (Kerplunsky). Stacey insists nothing going on at the time, same as Rachel. They got together afterwards, same as Kristina.
Dianne broke up with her bf early. I think she tried to do the right thing, when she realised she had feelings for Joe.

Even with singletons, there may have been dabbling we're not privy to! Brenda claimed he saw Mollie/AJ snogging. Craig allegedly had a ons with a contestant (not saying who, as it would out them).
You have those before show (Ugo, Ranvir, Sunetra) whose split nothing at all related, then those who split after (Susannah, Louise) once out the "bubble."
Kristina, Rachel, Stacey all allegedly got together with current partners after the fact. Kristina and Joe, Flavia and Matt/Jimmi, during. Kai/Nadiya.
