To think I was injected with water.

Ok i'm sure I wasn't but I went to a new person for Botox last month and it's wearing off already.
I've previously had Azzalure 3 times not Botox so there may be differences but that used to last at least 3 months and I was happy with the results.

The lady who used to do it moved out of the area so I researched others in my area and this person had good reviews.
I went for my consultation and although he seemed a bit (a lot) odd I booked the treatment for the following week.
It didn't look any different when I went back for my follow up appointment 2 weeks later so he topped it up for free.

It doesn't seem to have done a lot 6 weeks later. Has anyone else had both Azzalure and Botox and noticed a difference as I though Botox was the one with the best results but it's as if they injected water/nothing.

Don't be ridiculous.

You need a set of divining rods.

Or stand on your head and see if it finds its own level at the top of your scalp.

I had exactly the same issue. Normally have Azzalure and ut works great then I had botox...no difference 2 weeks later, had a top up and there was a slight difference but still lots of movement and with 4 weeks I was back to normal. I then had Azzalure again and it worked brilliantly.

Did he use a hose pipe? There's a ban in many places and you may be able to get a refund as it would have been an offence.

Alternatively you could perhaps puncture your forehead and water some pot plants? (No offence in this situation - phew!)

Some brands work better for some than others. There are many reasons why it may not have lasted as long as usual (lifestyle, sun, metabolism etc) but if you’ve noticed azzalure lasts longer for you opt for that one next time.

There is a national shortage at the moment but hopefully it will be back soon

Sounds like Kenneth gave you some of Mr Woo’s dodgy Botox.

There is a shortage of azzalure. I have had to have botox instead the last time and its nowhere near as good. My injector said she has had lots of clients saying the same.

Could you stuff your head in the freezer for half and hour? If if comes out crunchy/solid it will most likely be water that's been injected. It's the only thing I can think of at the moment.

Oh just thought of another! Have you got access to a surveyors damp meter? That might give an indication.

Genius

Half the posters seem to be nodding along thoughtfully...ahm, yes, Azzalure, Botox, dilutions, national shortage.

The other half are like, wtf is going on here.

I thought you only did that kind of stuff if you were in Hello (or maybe there are a just a lot of celebs on Mumsnet <shrug>)

I love this because so many people get Botox covertly like it's something to be ashamed of or pretend they are using "good skin care" when actually it's so much more common than alot of people think and it isn't anything to be ashamed of.
