Is it acceptable to tell someone to blow their nose?

I didn't, but felt like it.
In the library, the person next to me on the PC was snorting/sniffing really loudly every minute.
I had no earphones else I'd have put them in.
I have misophonia which doesn't help but regardless I think it's a disgusting thing to do and adults should know better. It's really not hard to blow your nose.
See this a lot actually from adults, does it bother anyone else?

I sniff constantly and yes, I do blow my nose frequently to the extent that it becomes very sore. It’s physically uncomfortable as well as being embarrassing and upsetting when someone comments. I’m deeply conscious of it and have tried many times to resolve it but with limited success.

I’m sure it is very annoying for you, but you only have to listen to it for a short while. The person who is doing the sniffing will be stuck with it for much longer than that.

No. There was a young woman sniffing constantly behind me in a cinema once. I got a clean tissue out of a packet in my bag and turned round and offered it to her - and she was furious with me! Wtaf?

DH is a sniffer.

Drives me fucking mad.

I'd have had to walk away OP, I'd have got really stressed listening to it.

I don’t blame her - how rude!

Some people genuinely can't help this.
Whether it is allergies, tics or some other reason, blowing their nose just isn't a solution that works for everyone.
Other people drawing attention to it often makes it worse.
