...to ask you for your suggestions for karaoke songs?

We're very aware of some gaping holes in our karaoke catalogue, but every time we go to download new ones, we forget which ones we said we ought to have.

Ignoring Gloria Gaynor, which is obviously in there, assume we have no songs and make some suggestions for good songs...and good karaoke songs, which are not necessarily the same things!

Any genre will do. DP likes metal, I like country and we'll both give almost anything a whirl if we're drunk enough (i think DP singing Katy Perry with the 7 year old was a highlight)

Do you just…do karaoke of an evening?

Davros · 21/08/2022 22:29

Can't beat Like A Virgin

Aw amazing, op! Sounds brilliant!

Paradise By The Dashboard Light is (I have discovered through experience) too long for a good karaoke song - although if you're doing it at home then you would be OK.
Baccara - Yes, Sir I can Boogie
The Bangles - Walk Like An Egyptian
If you like Country then Crystal Gayle must be a good option - River Road, I'll Get Over You, Talking in Your Sleep....

Yup! Usually on Sundays.

DP and I have fun on our own when the kids are away, on the weekends when the kids have been with their dad it's a great way to all come back together with a singalong and set yourselves up for the week ahead.

And if we have friends over and too much rum has been consumed, well, the results are highly entertaining!

Oh I love crystal gayle. I used to sing 'talking 8n your sleep' to DS in the middle of the night when he woke for feeds. "It's 3 o'clock in the morning, and it looks like it's gonna be another sleepless night..."

Not had any luck finding her songs on the downloads though sadly
