We have had so much trouble with holidays this year. Could really use some help.

we have added all of our covid documents into the airlines app to go to Spain. One of ours hasn’t been verified. This is the unvaccinated teen. Teen has had covid so we got a recovery certificate and added this to the app. They have said it’s not enough but haven’t been clear why. We think we need to add the proof of positive test too - does this seem right?

At the moment our only option is to try and check in at the airport but don’t want to get all the way there to find they won’t let us board.

as usual the app won’t let us add the extra info and the phones just ring and ring. Just can’t let my kids have another holiday that doesn’t happen. 😢

We were not asked to see any docs regarding covid until we got to spain.
Sorry I can't help more.

You don't have to use the app. Just check in at the airport - and take the relevant documents with you.

they only had covid a month or so ago so the test will probably still be positive if we do another hence the recovery certificate.

Not necessarily. Infact most people won't still test positive a month later. It's possible but as time goes in the chances reduce a lot.

I've had covid twice and didn't test positive in PCR after a couple,of,weeks. Neither did dh - he had to do one for a holiday at the start of week 3 and it was very much negative,.

Oh right. I was told differently and thought that’s why they accepted recovery certificates? I don’t really want to fork out for another covid test with the risk that it could still be positive especially when I’ve forked out for the recovery certificate. Of course I would if I knew it would be negative and my stress would disappear.

I think we will keep ringing and if we don’t get through we will just check in at the airport and provide the paper copies of his recovery cert and the previous positive test. I can’t see why it would be rejected as according to gov . Uk entry requirements we are covered. Just know I’m not going to feel confident and relaxed until / if we get through.
