To be annoyed that neighbour talks all day

We have opposite facing balconies and every day this summer she sits outside doing conference calls. She talks so loudly and starts from 8am til noon then again in the afternoon. I get that she’s a Very Important Person in a Very Important Job but it’s driving me crazy.

This weather is so hot and I need to keep the windows open or else bake. No matter which room I go to (it’s a small flat) all I hear is her droning on and on whilst I’m trying to do my own work.

AIBU to get a megaphone and yell at her to STFU????

That would annoy me, self importance at its worst. music on you balcony is just the ticket. Doesn’t need to be loud. It will disrupt even at low volume and shoo her in.

A neighbouring block of flats shares our communal garden. Arsehole who I've christened Gammon Grandad spends all day sat outside his partner's ground floor flat having loud verbal arguments with her and acting like it's his own personal garden...he doesn't even fucking live here! I could quite gratefully shoot him after 3 years of it...

Yes, I agree, going out and making noise while she is having these calls is a good idea, but surely the non-nuclear option of letting her know that you/other neighbours can hear every word she says - perhaps from a client/work confidentiality perspective- would be a good first step. If she doesn't adhere to a polite request, then sure, unleash hell, but surely just asking might be a good idea first?

3 years? I'd have had the kids in there with supersoakers straight away.
