How do you get your kids to exercise in the summer holidays

Dc11 and DC8 are pretty active term time what with walking to school, dance and swimming classes. But in the holidays they turn into couch potatoes and are very reluctant to do any exercise. The park is boring, hate walks, bored of the garden!
I occasionally manage to take them swimming or days out but that's about it.

How do you keep your DC of a similar age active? (Without spending lots of money!)

Send them to the park with their friends and a football

footy training twice a week

beach / river days - ball games, French cricket, paddle boarding, kayaking

family walks

family cycle rides

table tennis (ok not super active but they are outside, not on screens, friends often come Road to play too)

Pokémon Go. Amazing to get them out and walking.

I'm off to investigate!

Signed them both up for holiday clubs that do their sports - things like football are very cheap. Swimming. Beach. Other than that we turn of all screens all day and they go outside out of boredom…
