Copyright, MN and the DM - 1st class lazy twazzocks

Every day they have an entire piece lifted from the forum! Lazy bastards. Why is there no copyright infringement issue here - either the authors of the posts or MN itself? Is there a secret deal between MN and the DM? I know the info is in the public domain once it's posted here but seriously? Fuck off!!

Anyway, rant over, as you were. Unless you are an aforementioned "journo" in which case get over onto AMA and explain yourself.

Yes of course - no where on the internet is safe - and obviously this is common practice - so why do people run the gauntlet here with their MIL / DH stories when it could end up on any "magazine style" publication/ chat show and there is a greater chance someone close to them will recognise the scenario?! Surely it causes even more problems. Not my problem unless I get pissed and forget where I am.

My original point was just that I find it annoying that it's every day, and think it's lazy. Which I do. And in the hopes, obviously that this was a good place to leave my feedback for the cut and paste perps.

PP point about copyright is interesting, and info I was looking for.

99.99% of posts aren't identifiable

Especially when people name change

People might think they're the only person whose husband cycles every day, or they're the only person whose MIL cut their faces out of family pictures etc.

But they're not

PollyRockets - maybe. And we never know how many details are changed of course. I would agree about that when it comes to cheating DHs or controlling MILs as there are so many similar posts. And so I guess if challenged any OP can claim it's coincidental. Although, some posts have quite specific things which if they are true I think would be hard to explain away.
