Husband wants to fast

My husband is slim. He's 5'11 and not more than 11 stone.

He's sent me a YouTube video about what happens to your body when you fast for 44 days (David Blaine did this) and says he wants to do it. I don't know if he means the full 44 days or a bit less.

Wtf! Based on a quick Google it will lead to headaches and worse.

He's a great husband in every other aspect but this has frightened me.

I'm not sure what to do. I feel dreadful enough with tonsillitis I can't handle more stress.

There is no way he will last 44 days! A couple of days without eating is fine though. Just make it very clear that his fasting and any side-effects will not get him out of any domestic responsibilities.

Does he normally take relationship advice from Katie Hopkins? Prince Andrew?

I fast regularly as a lifestyle and I think he is insane suggesting you both do a 44 day fast when you have never fasted before. I hope you enjoy hospital stays. He hasn't researched anything clearly or done any prep reading or any research. If you've never run before are you going to enter a marathon? Say a firm no to this stupidity.

I fast 30 days a year for Ramadan, but only from sunrise to sunset. It’s great, I always feel healthy afterwards.

I would suggest this to him.
