Really curious as I’m not sure. Any one know about cat breeds and can tell me what she looks like?

I'm minded to say that Maine Coons have pointier ears that are a bit longer too.
I could be wrong.

I think you've got. DLH tabby.

Yes, they tend to have quite big ears, especially as kittens. You know how puppies grow in to their paws? Maine coons grow in to their ears (and paws actually!)

Most have quite long lynx tips on their ears too, although not all.

This is my youngest at about 10 weeks.

I'm no expert but I thought slight Maine coons?

DiscoStusMoonboots · 13/08/2022 13:56

100% purebred cute. (Apologies, I appreciate that's not actually very helpful!)

Lunakitten · 13/08/2022 14:09

Thank you she is very sweet.😻 I was just curious and wondered what people thought she might be! I also need to put the breed for signing her up to the vets and the insurance

Yes long haired tabby. A moggy. A cute moggy.

Cervinia · 13/08/2022 14:16

Maine coons have big pointy ears often with long pointy hairs on them, big feet with lots of hairs on them and love getting wet. They are also very large.

at least my part MC did have.

Iamuhtredsonofuhtred · 13/08/2022 14:19

She looks a lot like my cat who is half main coon and half neighbours slutty Tom cat

Unless you have paperwork then sign her up for both as a moggy/domestic long hair. You pay more to insure a pedigree and as far as you know she isn't one.

Gorgeous!

She isn’t just a ‘moggy’ as those are short haired. She might be pure bred, but is more probably a mix - she will have a long haired ancestor probably something like Norweigian Forest cat, Siberian or (if she gets huge with tufty ears) Maine Coon. My guess is she has some Norweigian Forest.

RainbowBridge21 · 13/08/2022 14:25

Looks like a MC/NFC cross. Very cute!!

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 13/08/2022 14:32

That's really not correct. Moggies are any cats of indeterminate or mixed ancestry, DSH, DMH or DLH. I have two DLHs - definitely mogs.
There is also no 'just' about being a moggy. 😼.

dropthevipers · 13/08/2022 14:48

Fucking massive ears! And super cute and pretty.

WiddlinDiddlin · 13/08/2022 14:59

Adorable moggy, she is very very cute!

Without DNA testing (and with dogs the results are dubious, with cats way more so as so so many cat breeds are not at all old and/or are very recent crossbreeds) you really can't tell anything else.

She looks to be semi-long hair or possibly even long hair depending on age.

Tabby is a dominant colour pattern to almost everything, and LH or SLH is very common, so neither factor make her likely to be any particular breed. Ears look huge because shes a kitten, they've almost all got proportionally large ears when they are little.

See how she grows, if shes a Norwegian or Siberan Forest Cat x or Maine Coon x then she'd be significantly larger than other breeds but even then, the size range in cats is vast, moggies can be anywhere from 2kg to 9kg+

Generally speaking first x or pedigree cats, even without papers are sold for a higher price and listed as a x so if your kitten wasn't sold as a specific x.. she isn't one.

fgswhywouldIdothat · 19/01/2023 20:33

She could be a Norwegian Forest, they are often tabby, but they are quite big. Could also be a domestic longhair (standard tabby).

NoFlowersForEmily · 19/01/2023 21:04

Gorgeous long hair tabby, although the ears do look outsized on the last pic, if she grows big possibly mc mix, my short hair tabby is a tiny thing and her ears were never big.
Beautiful cat, I agree with pp Queenie would suit, very distinct diamond shaped markings on the face.
I'm jealous.

ladymalfoy45 · 19/01/2023 21:10

Kittenuss Cutiuss. Or possibly Kiitunuss Gorgeous.
Difficult to identify without a cuddle, scritch and planting ones face into her fur.
A slight nibbling of her ear tufts would obviously provide an unequivocal decision on her breed.

Doveyouknow · 19/01/2023 21:22

If she was a pedigree then the person who sold her to you would've said (and charged accordingly!). She is an absolutely gorgeous moggie 😍

Imthegingerbreadwoman · 19/01/2023 21:45

Aaaw op. I'm trying to convince dh we need a cat to join the family. Yours is so sweet!!

fishonabicycle · 19/01/2023 21:52

She's a moggy! A cute one x

Probablymagrat · 19/01/2023 21:55

Oh she is lovely. She looks very like my late cat that was half main coon half moggy.

catandcoffee · 19/01/2023 21:59

@Lunakitten just seen this post and wanted to know how your gorgeous girl is doing and maybe a picture or two 😺

Motorina · 19/01/2023 21:59

Agree with (most) others. If she were pedigree you'd know and have been charged accordingly. She's a bog standard moggy, and a very cute one.

For the insurance paperwork, "Domestic Long Hair".

Mercurial123 · 20/01/2023 02:53

She's gorgeous. For fun, use the cat scanner app. I'm not sure how accurate it is though.

Mercurial123 · 20/01/2023 02:55

Just saw this is an old post, ignore my cat scan recommendation as I already suggested it back in August up thread.

WheelofLife · 20/01/2023 02:57

No idea. Just here for the pics :)
