To hope for an all inclusive beach holiday ........ with no flying??

So, posting for traffic - but really - is there any way at all i can hope for an all inclusive, beach front suuuuuuuper relaxing holiday without getting a flight?
I know trains are possible, but feels 'high effort' vs planes and transfers which are all arranged.
Is there anyone offering this with something like coach travel?
Very very bad flyers but desperate to get abroad next year for an all inclusive relax. I dont need culture, i dont need 'trips', i am just looking for a simple 'a to b' (with b being some luxury pool, beach, buffett style affair) without having to fly...
And not in the UK.
Any recommendations?

A cruise?

SoSoSusan · 12/08/2022 19:22

You can get a ferry to Spain...Santander and somewhere else I forget.

Might be worth looking into, I browsed a few months ago and the prices were very reasonable too.

QueSyrahSyrah · 12/08/2022 19:23

Just checked that they still exist and seems they do, we used to go on holiday with Siesta Holidays when I was a kid, big luxury coaches down to Spanish beach resorts. They seem to have a range of pick-up points in the UK depending where you are.

Sirzy · 12/08/2022 19:23

Cruise from Southampton? Beach depends where you dock but otherwise it’s easy

ItsSnowJokes · 12/08/2022 19:24

A cruise. A lot of them that go to the med will stop at ports that have a beach.

holidayyyyyy · 12/08/2022 19:26

Hurrah! Thank you all! I will deffo check you suggestions. We have thought about a cruise - but ideally i would like a lovely little beach front resort but door to door service like you get with booking flights and connections - the luxury coach sounds ideal!

Eurostar from St Pancras is so low stress - you can ticket all the way through to Cannes, Nice or the Italian Riviera - Portofino for example. Not sure about Spain, you might have to change in Paris. You could look at Swiss/Italian Lakes? ny luxury hotel worth it's salt would collect you from the train station. Also, business or first class on eurostar is lovely. When you add up all the travelling to the airport, checking in, security, boarding, transport from landing airport there is rarely much in it.

NewMoney1000000 · 12/08/2022 19:27

Drive to Italy.

SoSoSusan · 12/08/2022 19:28

I just had a look at Brittany ferries and they do packages op...ferry and hotel. They're aimed at people who want beach holidays but away from 'commercialised' areas of Spain so sounds like it might meet your criteria for a relaxed break.

SleeplessInEngland · 12/08/2022 19:29

Fast trains are surely preferable to the shitload of driving you’d have to do to get to the Med.

neerg · 12/08/2022 19:29

Ferry to bilboa with car then drive to North West corner of Spain.

Also, a friend could not fly for medical reasons so got some sort of coach to the similar area. This was about 5 years ago.

Just done train to north of Spain - very straightforward. Train also stopped at Biaritz. No hanging around at airports.

holidayyyyyy · 12/08/2022 19:43

Thank you all so much for suggestions! I'm looking at them all now. I wrote off this year, but would be amazing to get something booked in for next. Don't mind getting a ferry and driving a little bit but i've never driven on the other side of the road and whilst i'm more than capable, i just want to remove any of the stress i can so it feels like the experience you get on a package holiday dropped at the door

OP posts:
holidayyyyyy · 12/08/2022 19:44

My partner has never done the whole package thing, and i've not had a holiday for over 10 years so just looking for a way to get that luxury feeling without flying if possible!

We used to go by bus when we were kids. 17 day holiday as it was 1.5 days travel each way.

We LOVED it on the bus - parents not so much but sucked it up as mam wouldn't fy

neerg · 12/08/2022 19:50

Loads of people used to go to the South of France and Spain by coach o
In the 80's.

MarthanotMarfa · 12/08/2022 19:51

ClubMed are in southern France in a few locations. True all inclusive.

Schools2023 · 12/08/2022 19:53

Denmark

jayho · 12/08/2022 22:40

ooh yes, club med is the boss - particularly if you have kids? we went to several as me, single parent and child. she loved the clubs, food is great, activities are great and well resourced.

David Warner though - if you aren't home counties, privately educating and into tennis and sailing, steer clear - apologies if I've alienated anyone

GorgeousGoldies · 12/08/2022 22:44

Club Med La Palmyre Atlantique is a true all-inclusive and an easy drive.

DonnaBanana · 12/08/2022 23:00

There are lots of beach resorts in northern France. Nearly all attended by the French though, but quite short journeys. Trouville-sur-Mer for example.

I'd consider Jersey or one of the Channel Islands though. There are all inclusive places there and you can get the ferry. Not the UK either.
