DS (18) has been looking for a job for ages, a couple of interviews in the pipeline but nothing definite. Really hoped he"d something sorted for September but looking a bit doubtful now. He's wanted to go to Paris for ages but have held off in case he got a job. Just seen some bargain Eurostar tickets around his birthday in November. WIBU to book it as, if he is in a job by then, surely they should honour holidays booked? (have already booked next summer btw for that reason). He"d need just 2 days off work. Really tempted as life's too short...

I would risk booking it for him!!

I used to interview people and I always asked about holiday plans.
They were not a problem unless they were in the time that the person was going to be in full time training.
As his birthday is in November I say go for it.

New employers normally honour a holiday which which is already booked. 2 new starters at my job recently both with holidays in the first month of employment & honoured. Go for it!!!
