Hello

A bit strange I know but anyway I’ve had to go home sick from work with strange symptoms - joint pain, feverish, dizzy. Also cold like symptoms.

Anyway I’ve had these symptoms (but mild) for a week or two, thought nothing of it. Plus red eyes, swollen glands.

When I got home I’ve noticed a rash. A strange rash that I didn’t ever have before.

its not meningitis as I have no sensitivity to light, can move neck to chest etc.

It looks like a measles / rubella rash.

I’ve also not ruled out shingles but have seen shingles a lot and it doesn’t look like it.

any thoughts welcome I’m drinking water and dosing up

Scarlet fever is unusual in adults though not unheard of. Could it be a post viral rash?

Could be.

I have a higher exposure to more infectious diseases through my work / higher exposure to more people in general.

I’m a TA in Reception and we have have had quite a few cases recently and my understanding is that it is unusual in the over 10s as by then you have built an immunity. I also think that not everyone gets SF as it’s only if you have a reaction to the toxins, that you actually get SF. Otherwise it’s just a Steph A ( or something) infection.

Think that should be strep A or Staph A - nothing against Stephs!
