I've just been reduced to a puddle by the bit in Hunger Games where Katniss volunteers for Prim - you can feel both their panic for each other and it just gets me! gulp Reminds me of the bit in Empire of the Sun when Jamie is separated from his parents in the mob 😭 I feel like this sort of scene hits me harder since having my kids.

Call me bonkers but i love a good film cry, I find it really cathartic. So hit me! Any scene from any film that makes you ugly cry :)

Oh, and how could I forget—the ending of Terminator 2: "I know now why you cry… but it's something I can never do", and then giving the thumbs up as he's lowered into the vat of acid.

I still cry at that.

And Watership Down - just hearing the song Bright Eyes makes me cry, not helped by the fact we had pet rabbits when I was a child, so I always see them going with the Black Rabbit.

Grave of the Fireflies. Not one scene, the whole film. It starts off sad and just heads into absolutely heartbreaking. Only watched it once, and before I had DS, and I felt upset for a couple of days afterwards. Don't know if I could cope with it at all now.

The Bridges of Madison County - held it together till the very end when her family are sorting through her stuff & realising what she gave up & then was inconsolable for about 40 minutes.

Me before you - the letter when she is and sitting having the tea. The build up and that scene leaves me blubbing like a baby, a hysterical baby, none the less.
