Annoyed with "isn't it awful" boasting

I probably ABU but I'm getting really irritated with the trend of posting blue skies / pools / beach all with captions along the lines of "isn't it awful / pity me / having a terrible time" to which other people have to reply "oh yes, so sorry it's so horrible / sending thoughts and prayers". It happens every time and is so predictable. It's always the same people too. Middle class, a bit smug, photogenic children, usually gym bunnies. The same people who say things like "solid zero" or "Very good. Would recommend / use again" in normal conversation.

Not come across this

@georgarina Yes supposed to be sarcasm but comes across as humblebrag.

I have come across it and it's not my sense of humour. I think it's a bit insensitive actually when many are skint and for whatever reason unable to holiday abroad. I'd rather they caption it honestly and accurately like: Fab weather! Having a great time! or whatever than this 'opposite day' humour.

That is why I am not on Insta and Facebook. It would irritate the hell out of me.
