To be going through so many pairs of sandals this summer?

I'm not sure if I'm walking in a 'heavier' way than before, I know I am slightly heavier than last year but I am about to start on my fifth pair of non-Birkenstocks but in the style of Birkenstocks footbed sandals this summer... has anyone else found that these sandals don't seem to last longer than 3 weeks of daily wear?

Was just going to say my Birkenstocks are on their fifth summer of heavy use and although looking a little shabby the sole is fine..... but I see a few other people have already said that!

I'm on the second year of wearing my next ones

Before that I had a Tesco pair that lasted a few years too.

I'm not sure any sandals will stand up to daily heavy wear. My birkenstocks are years old but I only wear them occasionally. If you're wearing summer dresses then a pair of decent white trainers might be better for walking in.

I'm jealous you have the weather to wear out a pair of sandals 😂mine have been out twice this year.

I recently threw out a pair of Earth Spirit sandals that were 9 years old.

I'm not heavy on my feet and have a desk job, so I never seem to wear out my shoes.

The tops of my 3 year old Nike trainers ate finally going into holes though.

Here's a pic to show you how much the new look ones from asos have worn from around 3 weeks of daily use. Obviously these will be worn more but the heels are going.

Agreed! I'm in the south of England and have been wearing sandals most days since April!

@SoManySandals the sole of the shoe is extremely cheap plastic and that’s why they keep wearing down so quickly.

I've just returned a cheap pair of shoes which have completely worn down after just two weeks of use. I was lucky to get a refund but I won't buy that cheap again.

My pair of Berks have worn out this Summer already. They were so shit it’s unbelievable.

Get some hiking sandals I have a pair of Ecco (don’t look very stylish) very comfy and I walk up
to 4 miles a day and going strong after 6 years

My Birkenstocks are 8 years old! look brand new. Check Amazon some times they're not that expensive

Buy birkenstocks. I live in mine. House, walks, gardening, holidays they are summer equivalent to winter dc martins and last forever

My Sketchers walking sandals are on their 3rd year. Washed every couple of weeks in the washer and look like new. Admittedly they were £85 but well worth it. And so comfortable.
