To think we won’t get a property like this for under £300,000

DH says we should move. I agree however the kind of house we want seems unrealistic to me.

Old farmhouse - 3 bedrooms, no neighbours. Countryside. About 1acre of land.

for £300,000?? Not going to happen is it?

East Yorkshire

Love that house I'm Tregaron. Lovely part of the world too.

Yes, lovely, but from the look of that driveway, you wouldn’t want your handbrake to fail. 😆

Howden. Not sure how big the "good sized lawned gardens" are.

Norton, near Doncaster

Not actually East Yorks, but not far
Not sure about land
Has a shared drive, but location of neighbours not obvious
But very cute, could be fab with renovation.
Under budget

Your money will obvs go further closer to Goole than Beverley and Pocklington, and a lot will depend on the level of flood risk you are prepared to take on.

Land with flooding if you want animals is difficult.

You definitely would in Northumberland or southern Scotland but they are snapped up quick
