WIBU to ask for a second straw?

Earlier today I took my kids out to a leisure centre with an attached soft play/splash pool. We’d finished an activity we went for and sat down in the centre cafe. I ordered a drink for myself and one slushie type drink as a treat for my children, I asked for an extra scoop ended straw (my kids wouldn’t be able to drink a whole slushie each so had one to share and I figured two straws would stop any squabbling). The lady behind the counter physically rolled her eyes at me, paused so long looking back at me and the straws I thought she was going to say no, then stomped off, giving Kevin the Teenager a run for his money. She got an additional straw, as she was handing it to me she pulled it back and quite aggressively said “we really aren’t supposed to do this!” This whole time making really intense eye contact, before handing it to me. I genuinely wouldn’t have minded if she had said no to the second straw request but she made me feel like an absolute monster for even asking. She seemed so cross. I guess she thought I was a CF for only buying one drink and splitting it? Was she angry at me not providing my own reusable straws? It was just a really strange interaction and it’s got me second guessing myself that I was rude or cheeky! I did say please!

Give over. It’s a leisure centre cafe, not the Ritz 😂
