ARRGGHH! on holiday, trying to get into Netflix and 'apparently' the don't let you log in any longer unless you're in the region you live in/registered. I'm so pissed off - has anyone else has this crap too? Apparently it's a new policy ... so AIBU to want to fuck Netflix off, then join other providers?
Currently have Disney plus and prime
Anyone else recommend anything else

It worked for us in Italy last week.

Logged in via the Italian WiFi on the apartment tv

Oh brilliant. In English or Italian content? Am confused reading online comments

AnuSTart · 01/08/2022 21:21

We're registered in Germany and just get a 'looks like you're travelling. Your recommendations may change'. I'm hoping that it's just UK registered Netflix then. Balls!

AyeUpMeDuck · 01/08/2022 21:21

We do monthly passes one at a time.
So we'll have July with just Netflix, watch everything we want.
August with disney, watch everything.
September with NOWtv, watch everything.

So on and so on.

This month we actually have prime and Disney, prime was just because we've recently.moved and we needed to order bits and bobs as we found we needed them.

Am watching Netflix from Greece as I type. Diff selection but fine

orangeisthenewpuce · 01/08/2022 21:28

We logged in last week in Spain in a self catering place. The TV had Freeview with British channels on it on it and Netflix was an app on there so maybe that made a difference.

crochetmylifeaway · 01/08/2022 21:29

This must be really new. I took our fire stick to Cyprus with us in June and it worked fine there same with our phones. Was a lifesaver when our youngest ended up in hospital and he needed distracting.

Mummyoflittledragon · 01/08/2022 21:45

Brexshit. Have you tried using mobile data?

RunBoyRun · 01/08/2022 21:46

I’m watching Netflix in Mexico right now.

custardbear · 01/08/2022 21:51

We're in a cabin with a smart telly

Weird, ours is on a smart TV too. Also on an app on my phone ( insomnia!) and fine also.

BOOTS52PollyPrissyPants · 01/08/2022 22:04

fmovies.cc can get movies and tv shows easily. Netflix gone to hell so expensive and lots of crap on them and Amazon Prime even though has a few top shows most of the stuff on there is old movies and do not have a lot of choice at all

AgathaBrazen · 01/08/2022 22:14

That's weird. I've just come back from Cape Verde and watched Netflix the whole time we were away.

Notlabeled · 01/08/2022 22:18

solarmovie.pe

Just make sure you have a good adblocker. On Android devices use Firefox browser with the uBlock Origin adblocker.

TamzinGrey · 01/08/2022 22:21

We were in Belgium a couple of weeks ago and had no trouble at all using our Netflix account.

Luckypoppy · 01/08/2022 22:21

Working for me in spain at the moment

user1496146479 · 01/08/2022 22:26

@Forestgate
I watched downloaded stuff in the US in June. When did it change?

wonderstuff · 01/08/2022 22:35

Dd using vpn in the uk to watch us content.

Bagpuss2022 · 01/08/2022 22:37

That’s awful we tried VPN in USA a few weeks back didn’t work but we could log into Netflix on our account but we got the USA version !
it’s a scam people at uni working away etc can’t use it now not fit for purpose

SummerWillow · 01/08/2022 23:31

We used it successfully on holiday in UK last week

Spino · 01/08/2022 23:51

My dsis is visiting from France and she's been using her Netflix account in the UK all week. It's a bit weird that some people are able to access their accounts in other countries and others can't.

bluekostree · 02/08/2022 00:44

Download programme onto a device then screen share into the tv, we did this and it worked.

hampsteadmum · 02/08/2022 00:55

Watching Netflix on holiday in Greece on an ipad right now without problems. Some different content (thank you, Brexit 🤬) but by and large fine. Prime is more restricted and had been from the beginning of the post-Brexit period.

marcopront · 02/08/2022 07:24

My account was set up in Tanzania.
In the last two weeks I have used it in
Greece
UK
Kenya
with no problems.
Different content in all of them but that has always been the case.

toomanyhobbies · 02/08/2022 07:57

We are just back from Cyprus and the Netflix worked on the iPads through the hotel’s Wi-Fi. Didn’t get any messages up about traveling. Also download stuff for the plane which worked fine and we even downloaded more programs while in Cyprus for the way back.

Fireleap · 02/08/2022 08:41

I think it is if you log into a new device, they are trying to stop you sharing accounts.
