I need a break from work

Sorry this is a long, rambling one. Two years ago I was semi retired & temping as & when I wanted to. I've read it's quite a popular way of working if you're mid 50's, mortgage/debt free. Then covid hit & I got a full time permanent job as husbsnd was furloughed, accounts payable on only £22.5k. I've seen a lot of the same sort of jobs advertised at a higher salary, some hybrid. Some nice part time jobs.
The good thing about my job is its only 6 miles away & I can work 8 til 4 & it's giving us more spends & chance to save. They've given us all 1 day to work from home to save on fuel. I've not actually worked from home yet due to month ends, having part of the week off for holiday, off sick, I'm the only one! On top of all this I had my second bout of covid a couple of weeks ago & it really knocked me off my feet for the first few days. The finance director still put pressure on me to fetch my laptop & work from home, even at the beginning. I was disgusted.
I can't shake the cough off & I'm knackered. Im very overweight & sitting down all day which is not helping.I'm always helping my widowed mum in my spare time as she has big anxiety problem & arthritis. She's only been widowed 18 months so it's still raw for her. Our house really needs a massive declutter & deep clean & it's affecting my mental health now. My dear husband does his fair share, probably more than me really. I feel like taking the rest of the year off, I never find the time to change any of the above. I'm just too scared in case I struggle to get another job at 57, cost of living out of control adds to this fear.
I don't know where to start in improving my health & our home

No advice on the job but regarding the decluttering, start with a list and do one thing a day after work. Doesn't have to be a big thing but all the small things will make a difference and you'll soon feel less overwhelmed.

If you need an income to go back to, I'd be looking for part time so you have the spare days to get on top of things and rest. If you can work hybrid you might only be travelling once a week.

Get your CV typed up and apply for some of these other jobs. You wouldn't be looking if that's not what you want to do.

Even if they are further away most offices don't require you in so many days any more, so you'd likely not find your overall travel time increasing.

It sounds like you wouldn't struggle too much to get another job if you've had temp positions previously, I'd start looking and applying. Perhaps speak to your current employer about going part time for a while or having more work from home days.

Apologies if I've misunderstood - is your husband back in full-time work now? If so and you can afford it, I would go part-time.

Again, finances permitting, have you thought about paying for a deep-clean of your house? It might help you then keep on top of things with less effort.
