First time poster. Reading some posts earlier prompted me to start a thread for us to share our tips on frugality and budgeting. Most of us are feeling the pinch and I thought it would be helpful to hear all the different ways we can save some money that perhaps we hadn’t thought of.

Would love this to be a friendly, judgment free thread. Hit me with your top tips, no matter how big or small - I want to hear them all!

Highly recommend Gusto when there is an offer on there. Portions not huge but very very tasty, you can bulk up with rice which is not expensive from Aldi (not the 2 minute bag ones though ), additional naan and veg. Also teaches how to cook from scratch following a recipe and could be a regular Friday night occasion (other days of the week are available) enjoying family time x another link below

Well due to this thread I have so far
bought a large flask from Asda. £10, it stays hot enough all day for me to have 4 mugs of tea. It holds more but I have a small kettle so don’t fill it full!

An oodie (got my sister one too) from oodie Bogof.

im going to buy a curtain panel to keep the front door draughts out.

I’ve been stocking up on reduced food.

great Thread!

After a horrendous episode of food poisoning from my work canteen,I vowed never to buy anything there anymore.

I now just take in the extra from last night's meal into work to reheat for lunch.
Instead of buying coffee at work, I take in my travel mug which keeps the contents hot for hours.

It will be saving me at least £1000 a year!
