To think Sunak is a wanker?

Sorry but, just seen plastered all over the news that he's pledging to make 'downblousing' illegal.
I mean, call me cynical but it just feels like an attempt to keep the little women quiet 🤐

Am I being really ignorant in thinking this is a bit of a non issue? I can't imagine any situation where anyone can take a picture down someone's top without getting their teeth knocked out?

Maybe just me but take as many pictures of my tits as you want pal, id much rather you sorted the cost of living shit out!

😤

This may all be irrelevant anyway. I still have a nagging feeling that somehow or other September will see Boris Johnson still in place as PM. After all, the only thing stopping it are rules. And we all (well except the dim) know what he thinks of rules. Or "rules" as he calls them.

I have no love for either candidates but Sunak's classic performances of an entitled public schoolboy talking over and mansplaining to the little woman has killed the whisper thin notion that he was the least bad candidate.

He's not mansplaining because she's a woman, he's dumbing it down because she needs simple words and short sentences.

BiggerBoat1 · 28/07/2022 09:08

He is undoubtedly a wanker of the highest order OP, but his pledge to make "downblousing" illegal is not the finest example of this.

The fact that he was a central part of a Government that consistently lied to the electorate and tried to cover up their ineptitude is a slightly bigger concern.

thisbathiscoldnow · 28/07/2022 09:19

I'm not saying Truss would be any better, I don't really like either of them. I just found the barrage of headlines this morning irritating, like he'd learnt a new word that he wanted to use... perhaps that's the medias fault though 🤷🏼‍♀️

Still think he's a wanker! 🤣

No he’s has more sinister motives surely?

You’re worth a reported £800million yet your full time job is in government?

it’s hard not to think he really is there to influence government with ideas from the kind of super rich people he spends time with.

didn’t he suggest he’d use private health care to ease the nhs waiting lists?
I believe the majority of consultants in private care work for the NHS and at what point is the decision taken to stop using private care.

I find it very hard not to see that as the start of the end of the NHS.

WomanWomenGirlsFemale · 28/07/2022 09:30

When Julie Hartley Brewer asked Sunak what a woman was he didn't give an answer he just said he agreed with what BJ had said. So how can he help women if he doesn't know how to define us? 🙄

DrManhattan · 28/07/2022 09:30

Hes a criminal and shouldn't be allowed to stand for PM.

Arenanewbie · 28/07/2022 09:45

Just out of curiosity is Lis Truss against it ?

hattie43 · 28/07/2022 09:50

I think he's grasping at straws, yesterday we had a tax uturn, today no more building on Greenbelt land , now this , it's like let's pick a carrot to cover of something for every single part of the members

Dasher789 · 28/07/2022 09:51

@thisbathiscoldnow i totally agree. If he cared that much why did he not speak out until now?!

Butteryflakycrust83 · 28/07/2022 09:54

Everything they say is absolute bollocks.

Liz Truss was no better this week, passionately screaming at the indignity of the UK importing cheese. The children of England deserve to eat ENGLISH APPLES! ENGLISH CHEESE! Your poor child is being fed foreign muck!!

And they talk like they have not been in charge this entire fucking time.

Ohhhhladz · 28/07/2022 09:54

"Downblousing" is a euphemism, but one in standard political use. It's a topic of discussion at the moment. Wera Hobhouse (Lib Dems), who spearheaded the upskirting law change (E&W) has been all over it. But it has to be part of a wider conversation on harrassment and voyeurism, on VAWG, and on women's rights in general. Piecemeal measures aren't going to work when all of the parties continue to tolerate and in many cases cheerlead a culture of contempt for women and girls.

Maybe just me but take as many pictures of my tits as you want pal...

Yeah, just you.

neshtastic: I'm so bored with everything being 'sexist', or 'misogynistic' or whatever.

Me too, only without the scare quotes. And 'bored" is a bit of a trivialisation.

Ohhhhladz · 28/07/2022 09:56

But yes, more generally, Sunak is almost certainly a wanker.

He's not mansplaining because she's a woman, he's dumbing it down because she needs simple words and short sentences.

No he was interrupting and talking over her every time she spoke - she barely started the reply on some occasions. Just watch the amount of time he talks compared to Truss.

Frankly you can have both of them but his behaviour was absolutely typical of what I've seen from way too many public schoolboys over the years.
