Hi we are going to Spain for a week , planning to do card and euros but wanting a budget . Two adults, one 4 year old and one 15 year old. Self catering, planning to do breakfast and lunch at apartment then eat out in evening. What would you budget per day for food/drink?

If you are self catering it might be worth looking at the Too good to go App. We weren't self catering so couldn't really make use of it, but I did notice that there were huge numbers of hotels on there giving away breakfast bags each day.

Don’t the restaurants do tap water anymore? (Spain)

Its advised to drink bottled water in some parts. Tbh when abroad I wouldn't be scrimping on bottled water OP can buy it cheap enough in the supermarket.

Planning spending money sounds like a faff. I would rather go AL and I can relax knowing its all paid for

Spain for us, half board with DP and DC (5 months) we're taking between 700-800 euro. Possibly half Revolut and half cash! Transfer more if need be! I'd say the same 100 per day!

£1500 plus whatever you’d normally spend on food at home.

Hi someone asked for an idea of how much we spent. About £150 a day so around 1k for the week. That included a few souvenirs and a day trip.

Also we took 500euros in cash but probably only needed about 100.
