Odd London Bridge experience...

I took myself and my Three kids to the London Bridge experience today...the 1st part was fine, the tombs were horrific, hot, cramped and the whole thing is designed to mess with your senses and terrify you. That I could cope with....However.....this is where it gets weird.

In a part where there was a mix of deafening noise, strobe lighting and terror a woman who works there all dressed up with blood stains on her face barks at everyone to keep moving (I didn't mind that in the slightest, the actors are paid to be abrupt, all part of the show and I knew to expect this) but as I've hurried forward the woman working there PUT HER FOOT OUT TO TRIP ME UP.....I was honestly so stunned....I shrieked and lurched forward but I managed to not fall all the way down luckily....there was metal or steel props in front of me and if I'd ended up on my face in a dark overcrowded space like that with terrified people rushing forward behind me it could have ended horribly....

Am I being unreasonable to want to report this bizarre incident? It has really stayed with me all evening and I think it was a really sly unpleasant thing to do....as if she has a spiteful streak....maybe that's why she works there, I've been to loads of attractions like this and never experienced any thing like it! It just seems like a really dangerous inappropriate thing to do.

Just to note it was very deliberate. I had my eyes on the floor to concentrate on getting out quickly and she put her foot out right as I passed her having made eye contact with me the second prior. Right at the second I passed her she stuck her foot out and it obviously was to trip me up! I can't get my head around how someone paid to work here would do such a thing and what motivated it...it was so sly and nasty and ruined the whole experience.

Yes, very weird. I appreciate it’s meant to be a scary place to visit but I wouldn’t expect the staff to do something like this which could cause accidents, panic, injuries etc. I suggest you should raise it with the management and see whether this is a planned part of the tour and, if so, suggest it should be changed.

Complain! Such a dangerous thing for her to do.

steppingintosummer · 26/07/2022 19:21

I would definitely complain

WudYouSayItInRealLife · 26/07/2022 19:26

I'd complain too. It's wierd and could have had a really bad outcome.

NotQuitePerfect · 26/07/2022 19:26

You absolutely must complain. This is totally unacceptable and must break every H&S rule going. Hope you’re feeling better soon 🥺.

stayathomegardener · 26/07/2022 19:26

Definitely complain, someone will end up getting hurt.

Ukholidaysaregreat · 26/07/2022 19:27

Really weird!

Coffeeenema · 26/07/2022 19:36

Thank you. I am definitely going to complain, I rang them when I got home and got the expected "Oh I'm sure it wasn't on purpose" from the kiosk receptionist and I assured her it was....it was actually quite cartoonish the way she jabbed her foot out, she clearly has it in for people and is a bit of an opportunist. I'm hoping they have camera's. Honestly I hate complaining but you're right, it was a huge breach of health and safety. The manager is ringing me tomorrow....

Funnily enough I read some reviews when I got home and one chap said that they were going through and the next thing he knew his girlfriend was on the floor screaming in pain with a busted knee....

Oo I wonder what the manager will say.

Coffeeenema · 26/07/2022 20:54

Time will tell. I am going to suggest they check camera's if possible....I will certainly update you!
