AIBU to ask about Ibuprofen for a bad back?

I have tried taking Ibuprofen as have a bad back at the moment. I can't say that it has made much difference to the soreness.

Do you need to take several days of Ibuprofen for it to build up in your body to be effective?

The pharmacist has to approve codeine sales but if you explain you're waiting on a GP appointment they're usually very good.

I absolutely love my TENS nachine. Used to get Diclofenac for back pain years ago

Are they hard to put on if you have limited mobility? I'll happily buy one but I wonder how I'd attach it when things are bad.

Maybe some ibuprofen gel of you’ve got someone who can massage it in for you?
