To really struggle with this

So I have a 5 and 2 year old and I find myself so bloody drained, my 5 year old does not stop talking and I have become disinterested to the point I just agree and half the time I am not even listening, my 2 year old DS is really full on too at the minute, I thought I was managing ok 😩 feel like I am drowning a bit at the minute and feel like I haven’t been the best mum when I lie in bed at night l, I really struggle with that.

I had one of those too. My tactic was ‘play quietly and don’t talk to me until I’ve finished my cup of tea’ and the mugs got bigger and bigger (tip Starbucks used to sell a mahoosive one). Sometimes it was just ‘will you give my ears a rest’. I’d love to say she grew out of it but she’s now an adult and hasn’t really. She just likes to process thoughts verbally (sigh)

I know how draining the non stop talking is.
try ‘quiet time’ where you ask her not to talk for 10 mins.
i have a non stop talker and it drives me insane. I often walk out of the room as he is talking to get some peace. I also used to put earphones in and nod occasionally.
dont feel bad or guilty - we are humans - we are not perfect
sometimes it becomes habit for them and they have to learn to turn their voice off for a few minutes.

Your not alone!
I have a 1 year old and a 6.5 year old. The 6.5 year old is Harry Potter man and it's a Harry Potter question time 100399329 times a day. She's made me hate my favourite movie/books because she dissects it and asks me 90000 questions. I go to bed thinking about why snape killed dumbledore and why did dracos wand chose Harry. Like honestly !!!

She never ever stops talking.

I swear to god sometimes she mind fucks me with her incessant questions I don't know which way is up 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Love her tho but yeah Harry Potter is life in our house.

I'm at the point now I just ask nicely yet firmly that mum needs quiet time now or she won't ever be able to answer questions because her brain will be a bit messy and worn out🤣 that seems to work.
