Fast way to loose bloating and belly fat (light hearted....ish)

Aibu to think I can get a flat(ter) stomach in a week? Grin

I've had a very stressful few weeks, a death to get my head around, been on my period which has been unusually heavy and bloaty and miserable, my skin is a mess and I've been eating crap convenience food, no exercise and just generally not taking care of myself. I've been wearing loose lounge clothes mostly and just been comfortable.

I put high waisted jeans and a top on today and I was practically bursting out of the jeans and my tshirt felt stretched. I actually felt really shocked at how terrible I looked and felt after a few weeks.

I could really do without feeling this crap about myself and wondered if anyone has any tips on how to feel a bit better about myself by next weekend? (Various social things I'm going to).

I'm thinking loads of water, absolutely no junk and no snacking, 3 low calorie meals a day, and just hope for the best? Grin

@something2say @sallllladfiingers I was just going to suggest this.
I've tried all diets over the years and since starting Intermittent Fasting my weight has started shifting (I sound like an advert lol)
I started with 16:8 and with green tea or black coffee and plenty of water until I broke my fast and the weight started moving in the first week
I've now bumped it to 18:6 and I've lost more
IF really is good for weight loss and a whole range of other health benefits

I hope you feel better about yourself soon 🥰🥰

I've made it to now with just loads of water, and 2 eggs on brown toast.

Healthy tea later then hopefully I will have one successful day in the bag!

Feeling quite proud of myself!

Well done, you're doing brilliantly!

Have a look at The Human Being Diet. I love it, and it makes me feel great plus lost loads of weight.

Try Lucy Wyndham-Read’s seven-day belly fat workout - I’m on day one so can’t say yet whether it works!

I agree with buying some new clothes, even just some cheap ones from Primark. Whenever I've tried to lose weight in a short space of time for a certain event it just stresses me out so much I usually end up eating even more.

As PPs have said, you're not going to lose significant amounts of weight in a week, but you can help make yourself feel better, reduce water retention etc.

Peppermint tea is good, as is a light diet that's gentle on the stomach. Lots of water, plenty of sleep, gentle exercise including stretching / mobility work if you're able. Fresh air and sunlight.

If you're feeling a bit constipated or 'blocked up', a teaspoon of bicarb of soda in warm water first in the morning can help.

Obviously, nix the booze / sugar / caffeine as much as you can.

Don’t eat any gluten at all and also don’t eat any dairy. That is a sure fire way to reduce gut bloating fast! Good luck :)
