How are so many people booking holidays if they are struggling with the cost of living?

This is definitely not meant in a snarky way but so many people around me are going on not one, but multiple holidays over the next year. Ordinary, not particularly well-off people. All the news of airports and travel being pushed to their capacity. All at the same time I'm seeing about the cost of living crisis. Yet, in reality I'm not seeing it.

Maybe all of these holidays were booked pre-crisis (I know ours was). Does this mean travel will slow down again after the summer?

And there are loads of cheap deals. We went ax a family of 4 to Majorca @ Easter all-inclusive only cost £1K. Seriously, it was fab.

I saw flights to Dublin for DS1 and to go to many Italian cities for only £18 , £20 there, £8 return.

and you can go to Ibiza for an all-inclusive, 5 night, in beginning October, the quiet east coast, Es Cana, Santa euralia, for £250. I saw such a holiday yesterday.

Yeah, if you know you can afford it, makes sense to book in advance to beat inflation. We luckily have a fix until next July, and so I've already chosen and paid a deposit for a holiday. If I left it until price increases kicked in I'd only have to pay more.

Nobody in my immediate circle is struggling yet. We're still booking holidays. We may have to cut back in a few months but not yet.

London based here and not seeing a difference. Yet I think it's just not become apparent as yet.
I know someone who earns six figures, can work from home and who saved an absolute fortune over lockdown. Has been on several holidays and big weekend events. Alright for some. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

Where did you see the Ibiza deal please.
