Reporting child concerns

Where can I report potential child cruelty anonymously where I won't get found out ?? The child across the road cries all the time while his parents scream at him to shut up. I feel I can't just ignore this now. I don't want it traced back to me though as don't want any trouble. Is there such a place I can report my concerns ?

The NSPCC “report a concern” part of the website.

Or Google worried about a child [you nearest council]. The numbers should be on there and you don’t have to give your name.

Contact the Health Visitor or School Nurse.
If the child is at school you could contact the Safeguarding lead there.

Thanks, the Nspcc have removed the report a concern form to complete and you have to email or phone , why ?! The trouble is I don't know the number of the flat, all I know it comes from a top window opposite me. The crying has stopped now but it happens regularly. I have an autistic dd and sometimes she makes a terrible noise during a meltdown so I'm wondering if this is the case here, I know how awful I'd feel if someone investigated me and to be honest am surprised no one has. I think I should still report though as the mum sounds very aggressive.

if it bothers you and concerns you this much, how hard is it to email instead of completing an online form? It’s the same set of actions - 10 mins of typing max - only one is a set of predetermined questions. The other is you writing what you know in an email?

you’re writing plenty on here, so I’m sure I can wish you best of luck with your reporting when you email the NSPCC or equivalent. Hope it works out for the family concerned.

A health visitor or school nurse won’t refer to social services on third party information - they will just direct you to where to where you can refer yourself. You can email the NSPCC - if you are worried about anonymity just make a gmail account. The NSPCC will forward it to social services in your area.

@SavoirFlair emails aren't anonymous. No need to be so sarcastic.

This is the least anonymous approach possible. Avoid this one.
