It's the only black thing that isn't a jumper or cardi. I think it's probably too much for a funeral but just checking with you lovely lot.

Its fine.

starfishmummy · 20/07/2022 19:46

As long as its not too short and the necline doesn't plunge to your navel it looks fine to me

StoneofDestiny · 20/07/2022 19:49

Fine.

SunflowerGardens · 20/07/2022 19:55

It actually looks more odd to turn up in full black these days particularly if you're not immediate family

TowerRavenSeven · 20/07/2022 19:56

Definitely fine!

MrsMitford3 · 20/07/2022 19:59

You've asked so I will say I think it just seems a bit wrong-maybe the style or maybe the flowers?

I think you'd see it with trainers as a day dress anywhere.

I guess depends a little whose funeral but no I wouldn't wear it

Cor0 · 20/07/2022 20:05

I’ve got that dress and it is a bit too short on me (I’m 5’5)

Ontomatopea · 20/07/2022 20:07

Fine especially in summer. Maybe with a vest underneath?

UndertheCedartree · 20/07/2022 20:09

I think it is completely fine.

L0bstersLass · 20/07/2022 20:17

It looks like it may be a little low cut. If so, stick a vest underneath it.
If, as others have indicated that it may be short then dark tights would fix that.
Basically don't be flashing your boobs or legs so adapt what you wear with it to suit.
Sorry for your loss.

WeAllHaveWings · 20/07/2022 20:30

Colour and pattern fine. Looks a bit low cut and short though, unless you are pairing with thick tights + vest in black.

Wear exactly what you want to a funeral.

Nobody should care.

At my brother’s funeral there was bright, dark, and even rather sexy. I wanted THE PEOPLE there regardless of their wardrobe.

One guy looked like he’d been sleeping rough. He was one of the most interesting people to talk to.

A fabulous day all round.

This ^.

I wore bright green to DH's and I couldn't care less what anyone else wore, the fact that they took time out of their day to come meant much more than what they were wearing. His work colleagues turned up in work uniform and driving their work vans, some of them had come straight from jobs and were dusty but they mattered not one jot, their presence is what mattered.

SquirrelSoShiny · 20/07/2022 20:36

Looks fine

Spookysparkles · 20/07/2022 22:40

I think it’s fine, especially if you wear a black jacket and black bag & shoes x
