Congrats to Jennifer and Ben Affleck on getting married! They look so happy together. Jennifer Affleck is so stunning for her age, I wonder what her secret is?

OH wow! She changed her name! Classy! You don’t often see that in Hollywood. I wonder what her branding will be now? JFleck? Could be cool

Why is it "classy" to change your name?

So what if she’s had Botox and fillers? If it’s safe (and I’m sure she can afford the best) then what’s wrong with it? These procedures will become more and more common the easier they are to get done.
Inknow loads of ordinary women who have had them.

Because she's telling people she's had no botox or fillers, it's just her skin care line with the olive oil giving miraculous results. It's shady. You seriously don't see anything wrong with lying? Of course she can afford it.

She'll need good luck. She just married an absolute dickhead who blamed his alcoholism on his ex wife, after said ex wife picked him up and took him to rehab AFTER she had divorced him for adultery.

Car crash waiting to happen.

Call me cynical, but... this.

She's a very successful woman who happens to be naturally gorgeous and no doubt money has helped her. I have masses of respect for her drive and her ethic and I wish her all the best.

But I think she's lost the plot here. Why would a self-made woman with the world at her feet marry again at that age and to a no mark drunk at that?

She'd have been better off going it alone.

TinaTubster · 19/07/2022 10:43

@Thepeopleversuswork

I think you may not be seeing the big picture. She’s not just a merely successful woman who a marriage to a less than successful man might have negative consequences for - she’s a multi millionaire. For her there are no consequences if this relationship goes sour (again).

For her this is just a relationship without consequence (other than emotional), she may well enjoy Bens “problems” and complicated personality and ensuing drama herself - she has had four husbands after all. It’s like Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton - he was a massive alcoholic most of his life by so long as he was good company why should she care? It’s not like he was taking her money from her.

Marrying Affleck who is also self made and talented (more as a director than actor imo) is less of a risk than marrying a more stable “better” man who isn’t on her level of massive wealth. There really is nothing to lose for her here and she loves him clearly you get back with him after he ended things the first time so why not?

TinaTubster · 19/07/2022 10:45

@Thepeopleversuswork

I also think that even though she’s successful on her own Jlo has quite a traditional outlook on romance and men as she’s made pretty clear from comments in the past. Nothing wrong with that.

DeclineandFall · 19/07/2022 10:47

I sort of feel happy for her. Shes back with a man she used to love after 20 years. Its sweet. For a bit. Until she remembers he's a total dick and dumps him. At least hopefully she will have that closure and be super happy for a bit until she's not.
I'm 53 and if I had all the money in the world, a makeup artist, hair dresser and professional photographer and it was my job to look good I would look fucking marvellous too. But maybe not q as marvellous as she does, as I have inherited a healthy dose of short round genes.

She's very insecure with low self esteem. Have you seen the documentary Halftime on Netflix? I think she has trouble being alone and feeling worthy without a man. There's a lot of social conditioning in her community to do the whole marriage and kids thing and stay married, even if it means putting up with shit.

TinaTubster · 19/07/2022 10:49

@DeclineandFall

Fir all Bens faults I can’t imagine Jlo comes without her share of drama either.

TheDuchessOfMN · 19/07/2022 11:46

She has always been beautiful, never stick thin, doesn’t appear to have had obvious work done.

MarshaMelrose · 19/07/2022 11:53

@DeepSeededUrbanDecay Oh I see what you're saying. I don't know why but I hought you were saying that wearing fur was OK. I too have seen animals raised for fur and slaughterhouse practices. They turn your stomach.

hangrylady · 19/07/2022 11:57

Genes. She's just a very beautiful woman, same as Angelina Jolie. I'm sure they'd still look amazing if they worked a normal job, although not as polished.

Cheminaufaules · 19/07/2022 12:01

Fourth marriage? The woman must be a glutton for punishment.
Hope she will be happy this time.
She has excellent genes!

pixie5121 · 19/07/2022 12:25

Hispanic women generally age much, much better than white women. I worked in New York in my early twenties and met lots of Puerto Rican, Dominican and Cuban women. They often looked and acted literally decades younger than they were. I was working a shift with a woman I assumed was around my age when she suddenly mentioned having five kids. My jaw dropped and I asked how old she was and she said 43. She didn't look a day over 25.

I think a lot of women here in the UK look really old for their age. I'm forever running into women with crows feet, forehead lines and crepey necks who turn out to be about 30. Probably too much sun exposure and little sunblock use.

She's also a professional dancer who works out 5 times a week, has a personal trainer, a nutritionists, a massage therapist, a stylist and a head dresser all on staff. She eats a strict regime and has had good work in her face. Her good genes help too. She makes a living from her looks hence the reason she takes very good care of the, unlike your average mum.

AnneShirleysNewDress · 19/07/2022 12:55

I think she's stunning and if she has had any work it's been done very well. Her taste in men is another matter.

Sure, but I'm talking in general. I have friends in New York who are single mothers living in cramped Bronx apartments, working two waitressing jobs, with several kids, and they look better in their late forties than many twenty somethings here. A lot of it is genetics.

DeepSeededUrbanDecay · 19/07/2022 13:03

MarshaMelrose Sorry for my snippy reply too. Flowers

Thepeopleversuswork · 19/07/2022 13:05

@TinaTubster

Well I certainly agree that if you're going to get married (for the fourth time) better to marry a man who has his own money than someone who doesn't. At least she won't be cleaned out.

I can't agree with this though:

I also think that even though she’s successful on her own Jlo has quite a traditional outlook on romance and men as she’s made pretty clear from comments in the past. Nothing wrong with that.

If you're a self-made female millionaire there's everything wrong with that. A "traditional outlook on romance and men" is a bad idea in most circumstances but if you're a powerful and rich woman its a high road to being controlled and manipulated.

She clearly does have some very outdated ideas but you'd think after all her historical mistakes she'd have learned something.

You wonder what secret is???... really??? Its money, surgery, all day, everyday to excercise in theor home gyms and swimming pools complete with personaltrainers, personal chefs and desonal designers!!! Doesn't take a rocket scientist to realise this.

It is also genetics
i know women with little money who look just as good as JLO because they have great genes

Black women age really well too. I have met black women in their fifties who look thrty five.

@Thepeopleversuswork

Seems like she’s doing alright to me. Are the people with the ideas that aren’t “outdated” staying together more than those who have the “outdated” ideas? The opposite is actually true.

And a traditional outlook is not a bad idea.

Arnaquer · 19/07/2022 13:19

She's had a face lift.
You can see her jaw is very tight. Also the outer edges of her eyes are starting to pull upward, where the skin has been tightened. She does look amazing and if I had her money I'd do the same.

If your definition of "doing alright" is "staying together" (with an alcoholic at all costs) and looking good for your age then yes she's doing alright.

If you're definition of "doing alright" is holding onto your money, retaining a good relationship with your kids and having freedom to do what you want and not spend the rest of your life caring for a man child, not so much. I know what I'd prefer.

handbagsandholidays · 19/07/2022 13:34

She is stunning and been my woman crush for almost 20 years 😅
