Proof of recovery for 12 year old travel to Spain

Hi,

Does anyone know if I can use the NHS Covid recovery document from the NHS Covid App as proof of recovery for my daughter who is 12 years old.

She isn't double jabbed and we go on holiday to Spain. Worried about doing a PCR on Wednesday in case it comes back positive.

Anyone else been in this situation and do they accept the COvid NHS recovery document as proof or do we need to pay for a certificate?

My 2 teens had a proof of recovery on their nhs app which I printed out when we went to Spain at Easter. Spain was accepting this then. Have you checked the govenment entry requirements for Spain

Hi,

Thank you for your reply. Glad the recovery document from the NHS was acceptable for you.

I have checked but it talks about an EU or EU equivalent document. I can see lots of places online offering covid recovery certificates by doctors but thought the NHS covid app one would be ok. Just didn't know if it was acceptable because she was young and can't have the app for uk use until she is 13!?

I know our NHS covid vaccine and boosters are valid for adults.

Just didn't know if the recovery one was valid for my 12 year old for travel. Didn't know whether to get a negative PCR as back up but then unsure if we would need to complete a passenger form.

It's just not clear to me - maybe the heat is affecting my brain.

You can check if the code from the recovery certificate is valid here

Result. Have an amazing holiday ☀️🍻🍾🏖🌊

Just to say after all the hassle, we never got asked for any documentation. We did get a PCR test done anyway and it came back negative. Daughter has just had her first vaccination, so by the time we next go, we won't be in this predicament and she will be double jabbed as will my other children. Phew.

Good to hear, I've just come away to Canaries with my dd (both fully vaccinated) and they scanned NHS covid passes as we passed through the airport after landing so looks like checks are hit and miss, always best to be prepared though.

Hope you all had a great time

Glad to hear you were all prepared too. I think some are doing "spot checks". Really glad we had all documentation for peace of mind. So glad both of mine will be vaccinated soon to hopefully avoid this stress in future.
Hope you had a lovely holiday.
It really was lovely to go abroad since 2019! Grin

We flew into palma last week and they scanned everyone's docs who presented them. I have an 11yo unvaccinated daughter who looks over 12 & they didn't query her not having anything which I thought they might.
I'll need to get her vaccinated before we travel next year
