To tell you my hay fever is under control?

Finally!

I’ve suffered terribly with it since I was a child. Summer was always miserable.

Combination of fexofenadine and using a nasal spray properly (that’s the game changer).

Honestly it’s amazing. I sat in the garden with my children yesterday with cut grass all around me and not so much as a sniffle.

For those of you who have never suffered from hay fever this probably doesn’t sound like a big deal 😂

Same here. Mine has practically disappeared. Combination of monetasone spray and fexofenadine.

Not firing it straight up your nose and not closing the opposite nostril.

You need to aim it at the membrane on the side of your nose. And not sniff it in, it needs to create a barrier.

If you’re on twitter look for LondonAllergy, she demonstrates it.

Yes- what have you changed?!

it’s an excellent result

I dream of having mine under control!!

What's your nosespray method? It makes me wretch when I use it, so I stopped. Tablets just aren't touching it & I'm sure the fexofenadine is making me constipated 😞

HuffleWoof · 18/07/2022 07:33

You aim the spray toward the ear on the same side as the nostril you're using the spray in.

Ie right nostril point towards the right ear because then it's absorbed into the sinuses not just swallowed or sneezed out

I had hideously expensive treatment for MS, and it cured my hayfever!

User48751490 · 18/07/2022 07:49

Mometasone🤦🏻 spray, that should say. I have had issues with sinusitis on and off throughout the year, so having this spray has been a game changer.

I’ll take a look at that, currently using beconase which is doing the job.

Ah that’s helpful - I’ve been using it incorrectly this whole time!

Me too. Using it the correct way has been a revelation!

Not to piss on your cornflakes as a fellow sufferer but most people's hay fever is over by mid-July. I had it worse than ever this year but mine's been fine for at least a week now.

I’ve not been bothered by it at all this year. It’s not just in the last week.

Glad you are having success with Beconase OP.

I have Mometasone on repeat prescription after having several bouts of sinusitis. Often tied in with hayfever symptoms, in my case.

Hopefully the hayfever is short-lived. I find that it doesn't calm down until early-mid August 😩
