Earlier this year I thought I had finally found a dental practice that would help with certain issues (not teeth but bone) which I have been trying to get sorted since 2007.
However, as time has gone on, I am getting increasingly nervous.
The first plan of action, after x-rays etc. including a 3-D x-ray, was to remove quite a few teeth. Obviously I was not thrilled as the teeth are fine, it is the bone below that is the issue.
I bit the bullet and made arrangements for the extractions, only for the practice to phone me at 20:40 the evening beforehand to cancel the appointment :-(
I rescheduled the appointment and asked for a written treatment plan (I have a list of costings, but not actually how this all fits together or the expected outcome.
Just received a phone call from the dentist - not the first one I saw - explaining that she (and the dental surgeon) would now be treating me and wanting to give me a verbal response.
Um no, not on-the-fly, when I am in the middle of work.
I repeated my request for something in writing and was offered, instead, a 15 minute appointment, which I have made for next Tuesday at 07:15 (yes, that is in the morning). However, I also reiterated my request for something in writing.
Why is this so hard to understand?
I will go to the early-morning appointment, but may cancel the extractions if I am not happy with the answers I receive.
AIBU?
I should add that this is not in the UK and I am paying for all treatment up-front.
