To ask if your kids have ever stayed out?

DH and I are going out this weekend and I am guessing it will be a bit boozy, I feel really uneasy about coming home to my DS and DD after drinks and wondering if it would be better for them to sleep out at PIL who will be much more responsible?

my son is almost 2, daughter is 5, would you get your kids stay out?

Why is everyone calling it "staying out"? 🤔

I opened this thread thinking it was about teenagers rebelling and not coming home after a party😂.

I love learning colloquialisms!

Sorry cross posted with kite22.

while I was trying to spell colloquialism!

A 28 year old man was described on here as barely out of nappies so you are bang out of order
😂

My children all slept at my Mums from about 12 weeks…I am now a grandma and have had my granddaughter staying overnight from about 4 weeks . It really does help with bonding and she loves being here and feels safe.

Mine stayed with mum when we went out if we were drinking. They need a responsible adult at all times!

I’m confused surely you wouldn’t leave them on their own.
