To have never heard of Penny Mourdant before

Have you? I haven't seen her speak yet and never heard of her before now. Wondered if it was just me, is she well known? Bookies joint favourite to be next PM apparently

No me neither.

Just had a look, of the 8 candidates the only 2 I could name (before) were Sunaina and Hunt. Liz Truss was a name I knew but couldn't put a face to.

I've seen her on the news now. Can't say from what I saw that she seemed to have much charisma. I expect there will be TV debates coming up to see them all.

I feel most people have more charisma than Penny Mordant!! Another one with ' word salad' ideas to offer and loves Mrs T ( she wasn't that wonderful)
It's all old hat. Move on from Mrs T and face the problems we now have . They all look backwards these tories ! Past glories.

I heard her hustings speech earlier - invoking the memory of Thatcher - as if we needed any more of that shite. She also massively misrepresented and oversimplified the Falklands as showing her we are a nation "who stands up to bullies" - well yes and no.
God save us from all the Thatcher apologists and wannabies.

Kemi Badenoch seems to be the only one saying it's time to stop trying to go back to past "glories".

Never heard of her. She is coming across well though, articulate and clear. Rishi did an interview this morning which was purely a series of rehearsed soundbites and catchphrases. PM seems to really consider and articulate answers
