Hate this heat…need recommendations on places to relocate to in England!

Hello,

I wrote about this a few weeks’ back but I HATE the heat. I am so hot, uncomfortable and unhappy- so unhappy I could just cry with desperation and frustration.

Anyway, I can’t control the weather so am looking for recommendations for relocation to another part of England.

I can work (remote in admin or as a tutor or in person) in most places I suppose and I am single and child-free so no real commitments.

Any ideas on cooler climates in nice towns up north or maybe even Wales? I don’t fancy Scotland.

I currently live near to Wimbledon- a small town that is pleasant but overpriced and overcrowded and I actually fancy giving the north a go. I’m not terribly adventurous tbh and fancy a quiet small town/village not too far from a city. Looking for traditional pretty place with the odd cottage and plenty of countryside, I suppose. Sorry to be vague.

Any ideas? Thanks…

Aberdeen will always be 10°C cooler than the south of England. Any slightly toasty days will be cut short by the haar rolling in, but you can head inland up the Dee Valley for sunshine.

Its more about your house than the weather I find.

it was 27 degrees here today (Manchester) but none of our windows really get direct sunlight so the house is nice and cool.

we also have a converted cellar so after sitting in the garden with an ice cream, I’m down in the cellar living room (nicer that it sounds) with a few candles lit, under a blanket watching a movie.
