AIBU to go to Liverpool passport office to fast track a first passport ?

My sister is due to go to Paris with her school in about a week and a half and although I applied for her passport ages ago, I've not yet received it.

I've tried to book appointments online to get it fast tracked but there are none

Should I go tomorrow morning to the passport office in person and get it done or will I be turned away?

All this talk of passport chaos we got my eldest daughters within a week honestly don’t know what people’s issue is

Yeah, I'm making it all up for shits and giggles. Can you really not understand that it is chaos for some?
I had one come back within 12 weeks, one with ten days and one that is 22 weeks and counting. Thankfully that passport isn't needed until November.

If you are near I would certainly try, but I'd get there very very early.

There are fast track appointments coming up every day but even these take a week.

@Nothappyatwork DFOD

I applied for two the same time, in the same envelope. One returned promptly, the other is still
Showing documents received after 11 weeks.

Also,
Countersigned a friends passport two weeks ago and she got hers back yesterday.

Plus, we don't live in the UK so can't go to a passport office... we need this for our ID.

Am currently on hold (again).

This is the best number to call...

I think they’re exaggerating yes, its a miracle isn’t it that I sent off three passports 10 days ago and we’ve just had notification that all three have been printed and are on their way, it’s just me I’m so lucky 🙄

Did you send your eldest daughter's back and ask the Passport Office to hold it for another nine weeks, as the estimated processing time is ten weeks? Also better ask them to hold the other three until the full ten weeks have elapsed, otherwise people on MumsNet might call you a liar. 🙄

It's pure luck, it seems.
It looks like you got very lucky, but sadly others are taking weeks and months. A quick Google or look on twitter will show you what the problem is and that it very much exists.

Yeah, cos the people with an issue all received theirs back in a week too, and are just pretending they didn’t for fun. What a pointless, stupid and quite rude post 🙄

Pretty standard across MN from this poster!

Maybe this explains why they aren't happy at work
