If you haven't got a garden in thus lovely Summer weather what do you do?

Do you go to other people's gardens or go to the park or does it not bother you?

We used to live in a flat that had no outdoor space (balcony etc). We just used to go to parks, pubs/ restaurants with outdoor seating, beaches etc when the weather was for it.

Feel sad and jealous

Go out for nice walks down the beach or in the country side . Usually ending with a trip to a pub with a beer garden

We live in an apartment so no garden. We actually go and stay in my partner's parents' house whenever they're away, mostly for the lovely garden.

We go to nearby parks as well, but I really love being able to potter in and out from the kitchen to the garden.

The garden is the best room in the house in the Summer!

I use to live in a top floor flat with no garden or balcony it was awful, hated going to other people’s gardens as always felt jealous my sister has a massive garden like 100ft

Me too. I know some people aren't bothered but a garden is lovely.

I live in a basement flat so barely even get sunlight but luckily we are only 5 minutes walk from a racecourse which has a park in the middle of it so we just go and chill there. Annoyingly none of the pubs have beer gardens in our town which annoys me more than the lack of garden Grin

CherieBabySpliffUp · 11/07/2022 17:28

It doesn't bother me. I can't be doing with all the work a garden would need to maintain it.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 11/07/2022 17:28

Nice warm sunny days - Beach or Park. Both close by.

Days like today when it's actually fucking unbearable? We sit inside with the curtains closed.

Best apartment was on the edge of a lake so would take blanket, book, drinks etc down.

Second best was city centre so green spaces, pubs and cafes a plenty but also interactive (run through) fountain thingie… no one said it was kids only!!!

but yes, have lived in miserable, hot flats - can be incredibly disheartening

I live in a Victorian terrace in West Yorkshire and we have a tiny yard. No room for any sort of play equipment or anything like that.
It’s crap and I hate it.
I grew up with a lovely long garden in the South. I didn’t realise how lucky I was growing up - BBQs, garden furniture, eating breakfast outside or reading on a sun lounger, summer house, play equipment, paddling pool, plenty of space to run around and explore outdoors.

I wish we could afford to move, but we can’t.
Gardens are very rare around here too. Not sure why.
