Kids playing football in carpark

I stay at my daughter's house several days a week to provide childcare and so park my car in one of her two designated spaces right outside the kitchen window. It's an old car, but is my absolute lifeline at the moment. It has a cracked windscreen (MOT pass) which I need to get fixed when I can afford.

Her neighbour's son and a few others have been playing kickabout football around the cars and some time back I politely asked them (just one time) not to, because they could cause damage. Recently it's an everyday thing and I'm pretending not to notice.

Am I being unreasonable to want them to stop playing football right next to the car?
Is it unlikely that a football will damage a car? Should I just stop worrying about it?

All depends what kind of football it is. If it's a proper Premier League style replica then yeah, I wouldn't want them anywhere near it. If it's a plastic style ball from the corner shop, then no problem

But in the main it's hard to stop kids from playing unless you speak to the parent involved. Do you fancy that conversation? That's the one to have.

It depends what sort of kick about it is. If its just some passing back and forwards I wouldn't worry about it. If its full on pelting of the ball by children old enough to get some force behind it then it could definitely do some damage. Is there anywhere else nearby they can play?

How old are the kids? Maybe chat to the parents?

TBH my kids play out in our street with their football. But we are the only people who are meant to park in the street. Without drawing a diagram, there is space to park but only our two designated parking spaces. So as far as I'm concerned anyone who parks there when they shouldn't doesn't really have a leg to stand on. But if they asked me nicely, I would ask my kids to stop. After I remind them not to park there.

Agree with others...... 16 year old with a leather caser, taking shots at your car, is completely different from 7 year olds dribbling with a lighter football.
